A/B Ensemble is both a programming concept and a space in which to develop it. Under the artistic direction of Pablo Carrascosa Llopis, and with the collaboration of renowned musicians from both the national and international contemporary music scene, the collective works with an open and flexible formation, in which any instrumental combination is possible.

The ensemble transforms, expands, or contracts according to each proposal, always guided by its own approach to programming, producing, and presenting concerts. This conception makes it possible to develop each project according to its artistic and musical needs, with the instrumental formation itself becoming part of the proposal.

A/B also maintains a strong commitment to and close involvement with recording, conceived as an extension of its artistic activity and as a space for research into interpretation and sound.

Its commitment to the pedagogical dimension has been reflected, among other initiatives, in its participation in the Barcelona Modern International Course, where A/B Ensemble’s own performers take part in educational and exchange activities with composers and performers.
